Can I track the Annual Leave of my internal staff

Although Staffwise does not have a dedicated feature for tracking holiday or annual leave, you can achieve this by using the job scheduling functionality. Follow the steps below to track annual leave for your staff:

Step 1: Create a Job for Annual Leave

  • Go to the Jobs section.
  • Please create a new job specifically for tracking annual leave (e.g., name it Annual Leave Tracker).

Step 2: Add a Role for Annual Leave

  • Within this job, create a role titled Annual Leave (or something similar).
  • This role will be used to represent leave periods for any staff member.

Step 3: Add the Leave to the Schedule

When a staff member requests time off:

  • Navigate to the Schedule tab of the Annual Leave job.
  • Add schedule entries for the requested dates.

Example: If Amy requests annual leave from June 1st to June 14th, add entries only for the weekdays between those dates.

Step 4: Book the Staff Member

  1. Book the relevant staff member (e.g., Amy) onto the scheduled Annual Leave shifts.

Step 5: Reporting on Annual Leave

  • Go to Reports > Staff Stats > Hours Worked.
  • Apply the following filters:
    • Role: Annual Leave
    • Start date: Select a 12-month window starting from your desired month.
  • This will display the total annual leave hours logged for each staff member.
