Staff cannot see the published or invited jobs/shifts in their Job Market

The most common reasons for not seeing published or invited shifts in the Job Market are as follows:

Job Market search radius

With the Job Market in the staffarea there are a set of filters at the top of the page. One of these filters is a search radius from a given location:

It might be that this radius is too restrictive and the shifts are outside of this radius, Try expanding the radius to see more results.

Shifts are in the past

If a Job only has shifts in the past then these will not be shown on the Job Market.

The role is strictly hidden on Job Market

Within a job schedule, you can set a role to specifically and strictly not appear on the Job Market.

By applying this feature to a role in the schedule the following message will appear giving details on how this feature works:

To check if this feature is selected for a given role and therefore hiding a selection of shifts from the Job Market:

  • Go to View jobs
  • Go to Edit schedule
  • Click on orange edit button to edit the role that is not showing on the Job Market
  • Ensure this is not ticked so staff have visibility of the published or invited roles on the Job Market

A gender is selected on a role

You can select roles to only be visible to certain genders within the Job Market:

  • Male
  • Female
  • Non-binary
  • Prefer not to say

If a role is selected as one of the above then only that gender of staff will be able to see that role on the Job Market. To check to see if this is the case:

  • Go to Settings > Staff options > Staff roles with default rates and overtime
  • Click on Edit for the role that is not visible in the Job Market
  • Here you can see if this role is allocated to a certain gender
